Associate: Donal Murphy

Donal graduated from DIT Bolton Street in 1985. Prior to joining RKD Architects Donal worked in London from 1985 to 1996; the last seven years were with Terry Farrell & Partners. At TFP he was responsible for design development of projects in Korea (Airport Transportation Centre), Dubai (Library & Culture Centre) and Hong Kong (The Peak). He also worked on numerous major construction projects throughout the UK, for example: Vauxhall Cross Government Offices, Alban Gate Office Development and Edinburgh International Conference & Exhibition Centre.

Donal joined RKD Architects in November 1996 and initially worked as a Senior Architectural Technologist on various industrial and office development. In 1999 he became involved with a series of architectural competition projects educational sector. Since then Donal has specialised in educational projects, mainly dealing with third-level teaching institutions.
