Director: John Hanley

John is a graduate of University College Dublin with more than 25 years' experience. He joined RKD in 1995 and was made appointed as a Director in 2000. He has handled many different projects including business park masterplanning, third-level educational, laboratory facilities, healthcare, commercial office projects, industrial and office fit-out. Of particular note in recent years has been his responsibility for the National Laboratories campus at Backweston.

John has been responsible for taking projects from inception to completion, including all aspects of design, construction and management. Industrial work has included experience of both pharmaceutical and microelectronic manufacturing requirements. He is a member of the Irish Cleanroom Society.

His work on refurbishment projects has ranged from historic analysis, research and interface with Planning Authorities to the complex realisation of the integration of contemporary services and fire/general safety provisions into protected structures. John has been involved in the Dublin Express Link bid for Metro North since June 2008.
